Healthy Backpacking Food

An on-the-trail taste test of the new low sodium version of Mountain House’s popular dehydrated meals. I have personally never been a big fan of these pre-packaged meals due to their cost and high sodium content. The convenience factor is tough to beat though. So when I saw this new, healthier option that Mountain House came out with, I decided to bring it along for a day hike and give it an honest try. Perhaps it was due to my hunger after putting in several miles on the trail, but this meal really hit the spot!
